Maj. For 2nd Bde., 2nd ID, stand with their subordinate commanders and sergeant major’s in front of the rock dedicated to the “Lancer” brigade Nov. 22. Every unit that comes through the National Training Center located at Fort Irwin is given the option to showcase their unit insignia to the world by decorating a rock from what is known as the “rock pile” with their organization’s crest.
