An amphibious assault vehicle with 3rd Assault Amphibian Battalion drives into the Pacific Ocean just off the coast of Camp Pendleton en route to the USS Rushmore during Exercise Dawn Blitz, Sept. 29. The 3rd AABn conducted a beach landing as part of Dawn Blitz, a training exercise third in a series of exercises this year focusing on Marine expeditionary brigade level proficiency and readiness.
