Spc. Daniel Bietz, 235th Sapper Company, 579th Engineer Battalion, California National Guard, answers a question from Command Sergeant Major Harold London of the 79th Infantry Brigade Combat Team during an Appearance Board in the 2011 Best Warrior Competition held at Camp San Luis Obispo, Calif., Sept. 17. This Appearance Board was unique in that it was comprised of the eight top sergeants major of California with a combined total of over 200 years of military experience.
