Sgt. Daniel Roberts of Santa Cruz, Calif., a dispatcher with the 115th Regional Support Group, based out of Roseville, Calif., hikes the hills of Camp San Luis Obispo, Calif., as part the Best Warrior Competition’s timed, 5.2 mile ruck march on Sept. 14, 2011. The midweek physical challenge required that the competitors ruck with a minimum of 35 pounds of gear and their weapon. Their finishing times were calculated for points and their pack was weighed after crossing the finish line.
