U.S. Air Force Maj. Jason Helton, air mobility liaison officer, from Fort Lewis, Wash., is ready to take off on his helicopter flight to a remote Afghan Border Police outpost in southern Afghanistan. Helton is going to the outpost to survey an area that aircrews can use as a drop zone to re-supply ground forces. Helton also trains the U.S. Army, 3rd Zone, Afghan Border Police Security Forces Advisement Team, on drop zone establishment procedures.
