South Dakota Air National Guard Tech. Sgt. Sean Gilstorf, 114th Fighter Wing, Sioux Falls, is on his first day of levee patrol in Fort Pierre, June 4, transitioning to new duties after four days of filling sandbags. Although soldiers and airmen are being re-tasked for different missions, sandbagging efforts still continue in the Pierre, Fort Pierre and Dakota Dunes areas. Currently, nearly 1,300 South Dakota Air and Army National Guard members are performing flood operations support throughout the state during this historic Missouri River flooding event.
