Senator John Kerry and honored guests place wreaths at the foot of the American WWII memorial at Utah Beach, June 6, 2011. Kerry joined paratroopers from the U.S. Army Civil Affairs & Psychological Operations Command (Airborne), U.K, Germany, and France in honoring those who fought and died during Operation Overlord, the D-day landings, 67 years ago. USACAPOC(A) spearheaded Task Force Normandy which is made up of U.S., U.K., French, and German paratroopers in a combined effort to remember and celebrate the 67th Anniversary of the D-Day operations. Senator John Kerry, chairman of the Senate Armed Force Committee, was the senior U.S. representative at the ceremony.
