Maj. Gen. David N. Blackledge meets World War II paratrooper Zane Schlemmer during a remembrance Ceremony at Utah Beach on June 6, 2011. Blackledge lead Paratroopers from the U.S. Army Civil Affairs & Psychological Operations Command (Airborne), U.K, Germany, and France in ceremonies honoring those who fought and died during Operation Overlord, the D-day landings 67 years ago. USACAPOC(A) spearheaded Task Force Normandy which is made up of U.S., U.K., French, and German paratroopers in a combined effort to remember and celebrate the 67th Anniversary of the D-Day operations. Senator John Kerry, chairman of the Senate Armed Force Committee, was the senior U.S. representative at the ceremony.
