U.S. Army Reserve Ambassadors of the 81st Regional Support Command, and Maj. Gen. Bill Gerety, hold a banner signed by them and soldiers of the Third Infantry Division. The banner travels wherever 3ID goes and 3ID leaders wanted to get the Ambassadors signature on it before they boarded the USS Yorktown, in Charleston, S.C., for their annual conference, Oct. 2. The 81st RSC inducted four new ambassadors just prior to the beginning of the conference. The Army Reserve Ambassador Program was established in April 1998 so that private citizens can help to promote awareness of the Army Reserve and the identified goals and objectives of the Chief, Army Reserve.
