Aircraft mechanics with Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron 363 check a CH-53D Sea Stallion July 27 before allowing pilots to launch the aircraft in support of Operation Wada Kawool. HMH-363 delivered thousands of pounds of food and water to Marines on the outskirts of Marjah, to sustain them as they awaited the arrival of a convoy to begin building a new forward operating base. The "Red Lions" served seven months here with Marine Air Group 40 and 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing (Forward). The squadron's Marines are preparing to redeploy to their home unit with 1st Marine Aircraft Wing based at Marine Corps Base Hawaii Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii.
