Staff Sgt. James Jamerson, a retransmission team noncommissioned officer assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Battery, 2nd Battalion, 82nd Field Artillery Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, calculates the value of the combination of chips he has after trading with a fellow student during a game called "Star Power," during which the students are supposed to try to increase their value by trading red, blue, green, white and gold chips, where each color signifies a certain number of points. At the end of the game, the students realized that the points represented power, and that as people's power increased, they became less and less tolerant and sensitive to those with very little power. This was just one of the practical exercises during the 1st Cavalry Division's Equal Opportunity Leader's Course held from Dec. 8-16.
