A family happily picks up their drowsy kitty after a free spay provided by Joint Base Lewis-McChord’s veterinary staff during 218th Medical Detachment, 47th Combat Support Hospital, 62nd Medical Brigade, 593rd Expeditionary Sustainment Command's two day field training exercise. Soldiers from the 218th MD provided a variety of free services to include spay and neuter surgery, dental cleaning and even a “cherry eye” operation that saved one service member around $900.
