Lance Cpl. Anthony M. Knapp, third from right, instructs Nago City officials and Japanese media personnel how to properly put on a flight helmet Oct. 16 during a tour of Marine Corps Air Station Futenma. The visit provided Nago City officials and Japanese media the opportunity to experience the functions of the Osprey by giving them the opportunity to take a 45 minute flight on the aircraft. The Osprey is a unique aircraft that has the speed and range of a fixed-wing aircraft and the ability to take off and land like a helicopter. It has been used in operations and exercises across the Asia-Pacific Region, including Operation Damayan in 2013.
