Nago City officials and Japanese media personnel pose for a photo Oct. 16 on Marine Corps Air Station Futenma during a visit to the air station. The visit provided Nago City officials and Japanese media the opportunity to experience the functions of the Osprey by giving them the opportunity to take a 45 minute flight on the aircraft. The Osprey is a unique aircraft that has the speed and range of a fixed-wing aircraft and the ability to take off and land like a helicopter. It has been used in operations and exercises across the Asia-Pacific region, including Operation Damayan in 2013. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Lance Cpl. Brittany A. James/released)
