Charles Benson, best medic candidate, Headquarters Troop, 3rd Squadron, 89th Cavalry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division checks the simulated casualties awareness during the Patriot Brigade’s Best Medic assessment at Fort Polk’s Honor Field on Sept. 5, 2014. The Patriot Brigade’s best medic assessment is designed to select the best representative to defend the brigade at the division level. The selected candidates will go on to compete at the Division level and possibly the Department of the Army.
