Charles Benson, best medic candidate, Headquarters Troop, 3rd Squadron, 89th Cavalry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division prepares a foldable brace during the Patriot Brigades Best Medic assessment at Fort Polk’s Honor Field on Sept. 5, 2014. The Patriot Brigade’s best medic assessment is designed to test the Soldiers physical, mental and medical strengths. The selected candidates will go on to compete at the Division level and possibly the Department of the Army.
