Defense and offense collide during a friendly football game July 19 at 1st Republic Of Korea Marine Division Base, Pohang, South Korea. U.S. and ROK Marines took a few hours to play a number of sports as combined teams, allowing the two forces the opportunity to get to know each other before the start of Korean Marine Exchange Program 14-12. KMEP is a series of regularly scheduled exercises that gives the U.S. Marines an opportunity to train with ROK Marines and familiarize themselves with the Korean Peninsula. The U.S. Marines are with Combat Assault Battalion, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force. The ROK Marines are with 2nd Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment, 1st ROK Marine Division.
