U.S. and Republic of Korea Marines play a friendly game of football July 19 at 1st ROK Marine Division Base, Pohang, South Korea. Prior to beginning Korean Marine Exchange Program 14-12, U.S. and ROK Marines competed alongside each other to build unit cohesion. KMEP is a regularly scheduled bilateral exercise that enhances interoperability between U.S. and ROK Marines and strengthens the existing relationship between the two forces. The U.S. Marines are with Combat Assault Battalion, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force. The ROK Marines are with 2nd Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment, 1st ROK Marine Division.
