A member of the Qadasiyah Emergency Response Unit scans a section of the Qadasiyah neighborhood of northwest Baghdad on Jan. 20 while serving to help ensure adequate security is provided for the citizens of Iraq as they prepare for the upcoming elections, Jan. 31. Soldiers from the 4th Battalion, 42nd Field Artillery Regiment, attached to the 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division, Multi-National Division - Baghdad checked numerous voting sites and checkpoints and provided guidance and mentorship to their Iraqi security force partners as they increase security to prepare for elections.
