An officer from the Hateen police station checks a citizen's vehicle on Jan. 20 in the Hateen neighborhood of northwest Baghdad. Soldiers from the 4th Battalion, 42nd Field Artillery Regiment, attached to the 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division, Multi-National Division - Baghdad, checked numerous voting sites and checkpoints and provided guidance and mentorship to their Iraqi security force partners as they increase security to prepare for elections scheduled for Jan. 31.
