    II Marine Expeditionary Force

Lance Cpl. Randy Rogers, a combat engineer with 8th Engineer Support Battalion, 2nd Marine Logistics Group, and Atlanta native, uses a jack to raise the end of a 16 bay, double-story, medium girder bridge to rest on land at Courthouse Bay aboard Camp Lejeune, N.C., July 10, 2014. Marines used a jack to lift the bridge so it would not collapse due to its heavy weight into the stream below. The primary use of an MGB is to provide accessibility and mobility to ground forces during tactical movements within an operational environment.. (U.S. Marine Corps photo taken by Lance Cpl. Kirstin Merrimarahajara/released)
