Cpl. Alatta Lawrence, a combat engineer with 8th Engineer Support Battalion, 2nd Marine Logistics Group, and Fort Lauderdale, Fla. native, inserts a pin into a 16 bay, double-story, medium girder bridge to secure a portion of the bridge at Courthouse Bay aboard Camp Lejeune, N.C., July 10, 2014. A variety of pulleys and pins were used to complete the bridge. An MGB is a lightweight, man-portable bridge assembled without help from heavy equipment and can support up to two tons of weight.
