Pfc. Meagan E. Fredenberg, the honor graduate for Company N, stands at parade before graduation, July 3, 2014. Fredenberg, a Maryville, Tenn. native, was recruited by Staff Sgt. Lance Barber, a recruiter from Marine Corps Recruiting Sub Station West Knoxville, Recruiting Station Nashville. Recruit training signifies the transformation of a civilian to a United States Marine. Upon graduation, the newly-minted Marines will receive 10 days of leave before attending the School of Infantry East, Camp Geiger, N.C.
