Pfc. Andrei Escobar, the honor graduate for platoon 2053 stands at parade before graduation, July 3, 2014. Narvaez, a Naples, Fla. native, was recruited by Staff Sgt. Sean Smith, a recruiter from Marine Corps Recruiting Sub Station Naples, Recruiting Station Ft. Lauderdale. Recruit training signifies the transformation of a civilian to a United States Marine. Upon graduation, the newly-minted Marines will receive 10 days of leave before attending the School of Infantry East, Camp Geiger, N.C.
