Marines with Force Reconnaissance Detachment, 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit, fire their Marine Corps Close Quarters Battle Pistols at silhouette targets on the flight deck of the USS San Diego as part of close quarters tactics qualification training conducted during Certification Exercise (CERTEX) off the coast of Southern California, June 19, 2014. CERTEX is the final evaluation of the 11th MEU and Makin Island Amphibious Ready Group prior to deployment.
