Maj. Gen. Bill Gerety, commander 80th Training Command (TASS), congratulates Staff Sgt. Christopher Clay, after presenting the medic with the Army Achievement medal during an award ceremony, Fort Bliss, Texas, April 24, 2014. Clay and fellow medic, Staff Sgt. Ian T. Liebenberg, created a five-day combat medic course that resulted in 100 percent Combat Life Saver qualification of all Security Forces Advisory Assistance Team, Detachment 82 members. The 16 person team, 15 of whom are from various units across the 80th TC, is scheduled for deployment to Afghanistan in May 2014 to advise and assist the Afghan Border Police at Regional Command West near the Iranian border.
