Maj. Gen. Bill Gerety, commander 80th Training Command (TASS), awards the Army Achievement medal to Staff Sgt. Ian T. Liebenberg, a medic assigned to Security Forces Advisory Assistance Team, Detachment 82, during an award ceremony at Fort Bliss, Texas, April 24, 2014. Leibenberg and fellow medic, Staff Sgt. Christopher Clay, created a five-day combat medic course that resulted in 100 percent Combat Life Saver qualification of all SFAAT DET 82 members. The 16-person team, 15 of whom are from various units across the 80th TC, is scheduled for deployment to Afghanistan in May 2014 to advise and assist the Afghan Border Police at Regional Command West near the Iranian border.
