Cadets from Bluffton High School’s Army Junior Reserve Officer Training Course hoist the Superintendent’s Cup on April 11, 2014, in Bluffton, S.C. The cup was their reward for winning a competition that tests JROTC cadets on their mental and physical abilities in both individual and team-based events, such as academic testing, a logistical obstacle course, a physical fitness test, and multiple drill and ceremony events. Bluffton’s JROTC won the Superintendent’s Cup for a second consecutive year, defeating Beaufort High School’s Air Force JROTC, Marine JROTC units from Battery Creek High School and Whale Branch High School, as well as Hilton Head Island’s Navy JROTC program. The 4th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division Soldiers, as well as members of the Audie Murphy Club, were on hand to grade all events. (U.S. Army Photo by Sgt.
