Cadets from Beaufort High School’s Air Force Junior Reserves Officer Training Course compete in the freshman color guard competition at this year’s Superintendent’s Cup, a contest that tests JROTC cadets on their mental and physical abilities in both individual and team-based events. Bluffton High School’s Army JROTC won the Superintendent’s Cup for a second consecutive year on April 11, 2014, in Bluffton S.C., edging out Beaufort High School’s Air Force JROTC, Marine JROTC units from Battery Creek High School and Whale Branch High School, as well as Hilton Head Island’s Navy JROTC program. The 4th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division Soldiers, as well as members of the Audie Murphy Club, were on hand to grade all events. (U.S. Army Photo by Sgt.
