1st Lt. Matt Cyr, an armor officer and platoon leader from Dover, N.H., assigned to Company C, 1st Battalion, 22nd Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, Multi-National Division - Baghdad, listens to a West Rashid Sons of Iraq member during a routine visit to a security checkpoint, Oct. 4, 2008, in the Hayy Jihad community of the Rashid District of southern Baghdad. Soldiers of the "Regulars" Bn., 22nd Inf. Regt. are responsible providing local security for the registration process and the first day of the vocational classes, as well as assisting the former Sons of Iraq members transition into the three-month vocational training program, created to provide Iraqis marketable job skills needed for gainful employment in the Iraqi workforce.
