Airman 1st Class Michael Turenne inspects an Individual First Aid Kit, or IFAK, at Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar, Mar. 14, 2014. Service members who deploy are issued IFAKs for temporary medical assistance, until they can reach further medical care. All items inside the IFAK that expire within a year must be replaced before they can be re-certified. Once items inside the IFAK have been verified, they are sealed with a tag and service receipt to guarantee the IFAK has not been tampered with. Turenne is a 379th Expeditionary Civil Engineer Squadron firefighter deployed from Ramstein Air Base, Germany, and a Sarasota, Fla., native. (U.S. Air Force photo/Senior Airman Hannah Landeros)
