U.S. Marines with Company I, 3rd Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment, greet Japan Ground Self-Defense Force members with 2nd Infantry Regiment, 12 Brigade, Feb. 27 at Sekiyama Training Area, Niigata prefecture, Japan, during exercise Forest Light 14-2. Forest Light 14-2 is a bilateral exercise focusing on cold-weather survival skills. The company is currently assigned to 4th Marines, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force, under the unit deployment program.
