North Carolina National Guard Army aviators are recognized alongside the famous Blue Angels at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia during the second half of the 114th annual Army vs. Navy football game on Dec. 14. The NCNG pilots were members of the 1-130th Attack Reconnaissance Battalion, 449th Theater Aviation Brigade, were selected to perform this year’s flyover as part of the team introductions. Four of the unit’s AH-64D Longbow Apache attack helicopters flew in a diamond formation over the stadium as the U.S. Military Academy’s Black Knights were introduced.
