Participants of the Nov. 11, 2013, Sun City, Texas, Veterans Day ceremony sing along the service songs with East View High School Band. Several hundred people attended the ceremony, taking up all the assigned seating and filling the lawn with their own camping chairs. The ceremony featured an invocation, the reciting of the Pledge of Allegiance, the national anthem, Brig. Gen. Clark W. LeMasters Jr., the commander of the 13th Sustainment Command (Expeditionary) as guest speaker and a tree and plaque dedication in memory of retired Air Force Gen. Bennie Luke Davis. At the end of the ceremony, two wreaths were laid to remember our fallen, and participants remembered those who are missing in action with a moment of silence. The ceremony concluded with the playing of taps and an invocation.
