Marines with 6th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, analyze their battle position during a training command post exercise inside the II Marine Expeditionary Force Simulation Center aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune Sept. 18, 2013. Major Kemper Jones, the operations officer for 6th Marines, said the training simulated how the regiment’s command operation center communicates with subordinate commands during a real-life operation. “We are doing this to refine our skills as a regimental command and control element,” Jones said.
