Marine Corps Col. (Ret.) Douglas Hurley, commander of NASA's SpaceX Demo-2 mission, is one of two astronauts aboard Crew Dragon scheduled to dock with the International Space Station 10:29 a.m. EDT. The first launch of Americans from the United States since 2011 was scheduled for May 30, 2020, at 3:22 p.m. EDT from Launch Complex 39A in Florida. As the final flight test for SpaceX, this mission validates the company’s crew transportation system, including the launch pad, rocket, spacecraft and operational capabilities. This also will be the first time NASA astronauts will test the spacecraft systems in orbit.
