U.S. Marines with 4th Law Enforcement Battalion, Force Headquarters Group, Marine Forces
Reserve, conduct training and maintenance in Elvegardsmoen, Norway, March 7, 2026. The training ensured the Marines were proficient in their weapon handling skills and routine inspections were done to ensure their tactical vehicles were operating properly in the arctic environment in support of exercise Cold Response 26. A key component of NATO's enhanced vigilance activity Arctic Sentry, exercise Cold Response 26 is a Norwegian-led winter military exercise designed to enhance collective defense capabilities and ensure U.S. readiness to rapidly deploy and seamlessly operate alongside NATO Allies in challenging arctic conditions.
