U.S. Army Capt. Bridget Keefe, a medical surgical nurse assigned to Massachusetts Army National Guard Medical Detachment, shares her Justified Accord 2026 Medical Civic Action Program (MEDCAP) experience during an interview at Laresoro, Kenya, Feb. 27, 2026. U.S. Soldiers and U.S. Airmen medical personnel, alongside counterparts from the Kenya Defence Forces and local civilian medical teams, provided primary medical care to local residents. The combined team delivered essential role one care to approximately 1,200 patients, strengthening partnerships and refining medical skills in an austere environment.
JA26 increases multinational interoperability in support of humanitarian assistance and crisis response, prepares regional partners for United Nations and African Union missions, and builds readiness for the U.S. joint force.
