U.S. Army veterinarians assigned to the 64th Medical Detachment Veterinary Service Support, 421st Medical Battalion (Multifunctional), 30th Medical Brigade, and Kenya Defence Forces military working dog handlers conduct canine tactical combat casualty care training during Justified Accord 2026 at the Humanitarian Peace Support School, Nairobi, Kenya, March 4, 2026. The joint training strengthened the ability of KDF handlers and U.S. Army veterinarians to deliver lifesaving care to injured military working dogs by reinforcing K9TC3, improving medical response procedures, and enhancing interoperability and operational readiness between partner forces.
JA26 increases multinational interoperability in support of humanitarian assistance and crisis response, prepares regional partners for United Nations and African Union missions, and builds readiness for the U.S. joint force. Led by U.S. Army Southern European Task Force, Africa (SETAF-AF), and hosted in Djibouti, Kenya, and Tanzania, JA26 is U.S. Africa Command’s largest exercise in East Africa. (U.S. Army video by Spc.
