The South Park Ranger District on the Pike-San Isabel National Forests and Cimarron and Comanche National Grasslands implements the Caylor Fuels Reduction Project in Lake George, Park County, Colorado. The project covers approximately 571 acres of National Forest System lands, with the primary goal of improving forest health by reducing hazardous fuels built up in the forest. The work aims to lower the likelihood of high-severity wildfires within the wildland urban interface, the zone where human development meets wildlands. (Forest Service video by Josh Cowden)
