U.S. and Kenya Defence Forces maintenance teams replace a rear caliper and perform preventative maintenance checks and services on a KDF M1152 Humvee during Justified Accord 2026 at Bench Point Two, Laresoro, Kenya, March 4, 2026. The bilateral maintenance training enhanced technical readiness and strengthened interoperability between U.S. Army personnel from the Massachusetts National Guard and KDF by allowing mechanics from both nations to exchange knowledge, improve vehicle sustainment practices, and build shared maintenance procedures in support of future joint operations.
JA26 increases multinational interoperability in support of humanitarian assistance and crisis response, prepares regional partners for missions with the United Nations and African Union, and builds readiness for the U.S. joint force. Led by SETAF-AF and hosted in Djibouti, Kenya, and Tanzania, the exercise brings together personnel from approximately 15 nations and is U.S. Africa Command’s largest exercise in East Africa.
