The Justified Accord 2026 opening ceremony consisted of the initial meeting of key leadership, a book signing, and remarks at the Humanitarian Peace Support School, Nairobi, Kenya, March 2, 2026. The JA26 opening ceremony highlighted the importance of increased multinational interoperability in support of humanitarian assistance and crisis response, preparing regional partners for missions with the United Nations and African Union, and building readiness for the U.S. joint force. Led by U.S. Army Southern European Task Force, Africa (SETAF-AF) and hosted in Djibouti, Kenya, and Tanzania, the exercise brings together personnel from approximately 15 nations and is U.S. Africa Command's largest exercise in East Africa.
