U.S. Marines, assigned to Joint Task Force-Southern Border (JTF-SB), conduct a series of operations along the southern border during enhanced detection alongside the Border Patrol partners in El Centro, Calif., Jan. 29-Feb. 11, 2026. These operations help ensure the security of the southern border and the United States. U.S. Northern Command is working side-by-side with the Department of Homeland Security and the U.S. Customs and Border Protection within narrowly defined authorities to provide unique military capabilities to protect the territorial integrity of the U.S. southern border.
