Did you know the Iguana is considered an invasive species in the State of Florida?
The Iguana is a non-native, and it is invading Florida’s cities, neighborhoods, and parks. It digs deep burrows that can weaken embankments, seawalls, and other flood risk reduction structures. The Iguana can spread Salmonella germs through its droppings on patios, pools, and docks. This lizard can grow to over 6 feet long and weigh over 15 pounds.
