U.S. Marines with Marine Aircraft Group 36, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing and U.S. Airmen with 18th Wing recover simulated downed aircraft personnel as part of Nansei Sword 26 off the coast of Naval Base White Beach, Okinawa, Japan, Jan. 27, 2026. Nansei Sword 26 is designed to provide realistic training that increases the combat readiness of MAG-36 through exercising communication setup and utilization and providing logistical support throughout dispersed locations.
