U.S. Army Soldiers assigned to the 25th Infantry Division qualify on the M7 rifle and M320 grenade launcher at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii, Jan. 30–Feb. 5, 2026. Soldiers from 1st Battalion, 35th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Mobile Brigade, conducted M7 qualification Jan. 30, while Soldiers from 2nd Battalion, 21st Infantry Regiment, 3rd Mobile Brigade, qualified on the M320 Feb. 5. The M7 is the Army’s next-generation rifle, and the M320 provides an organic, shoulder-fired capability to engage targets with a 40mm grenade launcher. Together, the events reflect Tropic Lightning’s division-wide approach to fielding, training and certifying on modernized equipment to increase lethality across the formation.
