Day one of the 2026 Arizona Army National Guard (AZ ARNG) Best Warrior Competition kicked off with a grueling circuit of events designed to test the physical endurance, strength, mental toughness and resilience of the Soldiers of the AZ ARNG who chose to have their physical and mental limits pushed to the breaking point to crown one of them as the Best Warrior in the AZ ARNG. All day-one events took place on Feb. 10 at the Papago Park Military Reservation in Phoenix, Ariz.
The technical expertise, tactical proficiency, critical thinking, adaptability, mental toughness, and resilience of the competitors in the annual AZ ARNG Best Warrior Competition were put to the test over three intense days of competition, highlighting the warrior spirit and lethality of the Soldiers of the AZ ARNG.
