U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Bristol Bay (WTGB 102) assists 633-foot motor vessel Sam Laud on Lake Erie, Jan. 28, 2026. The Bristol Bay escorted the Sam Laud further northbound due to winds pushing them shoreward causing concern for their positioning overnight to shift, this was done in preparation for the arrival of the Tug Kimberly Joy, who would arrive the following day, joining the convoy for the final push to layup.
