    13th Marine Expeditionary Unit

U.S. Marines with 3rd Assault Amphibian Battalion, 1st Marine Division, train with the Amphibious Combat Vehicle, successor of the Amphibious Assault Vehicle. The ACV gives Marines the ability to move seamlessly from ship-to-objective, operating both in open water and on land. Designed for speed, protection, and mobility, the ACV transports Marines and equipment from amphibious ships directly into the fight. Its armored design, advanced communications, and off-road capability allow Marines to maneuver across complex terrain while remaining protected and mission-ready. Whether launching from the sea or advancing inland, the ACV extends the Marine Corps’ ability to project combat power wherever it’s needed. QUART enhances the warfighting proficiency of the Navy-Marine Corps team. This routine training forges a more integrated and lethal force, ensuring our Marines and Sailors are prepared to respond to crisis and win in conflict. (U.S. Marine Corps video by Cpl.
