Fort Bliss Garrison Commander, Col. Michael Soyka, spoke to Fort Bliss Garrison Public Affairs' Crista Mack, Jan. 5, 2026, for a behind the scenes look at a “Day in the Life” highlighting the daily responsibilities required to support one of the U.S. Army’s largest installations.
We follow Soyka from early-morning physical training through meetings, engagements, and on-site visits that focus on installation readiness, infrastructure, and quality of life for Soldiers, Families, and the Fort Bliss workforce.
Through leadership, coordination, and community partnerships, the Fort Bliss Garrison team works every day to ensure the installation remains mission-ready and resilient in support of America’s Army.
